MEET THE PHOTO STUDIO

The Photo Studio is an amazing team of award winning Toronto wedding photographers and cinematographers and Toronto event photographers. We pride ourselves on creating amazing images and capturing all of the moments of your day. Our style is a mix of artistic images, along with relaxed formals, and documentary, journalistic and candid images. We mix all of these styles to create story telling memories of your day. We capture the moments of anticipation, enthusiasm, and all the emotions and essence of your wedding day. We will work with you from the initial planning until the final albums are delivered to make sure you get the very best.

We would love to meet you and chat with you soon!

OUR STYLE AND PHILOSOPHY

Our Style & Philosophy is Simple: Photojournalistic and Documentary, to capture not only the candid moments but the amazing posed formals and families as well. We want to capture all the moments of the day as they unfold naturally. The moments you want to remember forever.

One of my favourite documentary moments was a close-up of hands.  Hands-boring, right?  The best man was giving a speech. I noticed the bride was holding hands with her maid-of-honour, but around her waist was the hand of her new husband.  She married her best friend that day, but she’ll always have her “first” best friend by her side.

Moments of your own will unfold on your wedding day and we want to capture them all. Every picture we compose is one more moment and memory of your day to have forever.  Photographing the hands, the hand-written vows in the bride’s room, the groom holding the bride’s shoes at the end of the night, dad admiring his daughter from afar, older brother picking on his little brother (the groom), and the niece picking her nose during the ceremony. All these pieces come together to document your day.

OUR SHOWROOM

We would love to have you come and visit our studio and showroom. We have a variety of albums, and past clients weddings to show you. As well we have a gallery with framed art prints, canvas gallery wraps, and many other items for you to take a closer look at and consider for your wedding. We feel it is always best to see things in person, to hold the albums in your hand, and to see the frames and prints on the wall before making a decision.

We are available by appointment both days and evenings. To schedule a consultation please give us a call at 416-895-2455, or drop us an email info@thephotostudio.ca

OUR ALBUMS

Your wedding images are best presented and preserved as memories in our custom albums designed to last a lifetime. With choices of covers and of course custom designed in house by us!, you will have a family heirloom to cherish. Our albums open to full spreads giving you a complete visual experience to relive your wedding from start to finish.  You will work with us to choose your favorite images and be able to combine this into a custom design album as the story of your day is told in it's entirety. In a time where most wedding photographers will limit their offerings to just digital images and no albums, we don't feel that's enough to tell the complete story of your wedding. We always include albums in our wedding packages right from the start.

Available in many sizes, with dozens of colours, cover materials including our amazing glass cover and photo covers, along with custom presentation boxes, your album can be a work of art to showcase your wedding and have your memories and story of your day preserved.

FAQ

  1. How long have you been in business?

We have been doing wedding photography in Toronto since August of 2000. In that time we have shot over 1200 weddings. Most of our photographers have over 10 years of experience shooting weddings. We are not new to this business, we don’t work from our basements, or only do this part time. Wedding photography is a full time business for us, and is the only business we do. Don't settle for anything less, we are some of the best wedding photographers in Toronto!

  2. What do you do for backup equipment and photographer?

We have a full time Toronto wedding photographer on call for every prime wedding weekend, we have never had to use this option but it is there to protect our clients. As well we carry a full system of backup gear to any wedding, including camera, lenses and flash systems. Every moment of your wedding day is precious, and we take any and all precautions to make sure we back everything up.

  3. How long do you recommend for photos at the park?

It all depends on the size of your wedding party and how big your families are, but you probably want to set aside at least 1.5-2 hours for photos.

  4. How many images do we get?

This depends on the length of your wedding.  On average, for weddings we photograph 1000 to 2500 images, Engagement sessions consist of about 150-350 images. You will get all of the images that we shoot!

  5. Do you use flash or bring lighting to the wedding?

YES of course! Although we mostly use available light outdoors, there are situations where using lighting can create that perfect look. When we do use lighting, we prefer to keep it as natural looking as possible. Our experience allows us to choose the best options for each shot, including studio strobes, off-cam flash, bounced, diffusers, softbox, etc. Rest assured we will create the best images possible, and bring all the necessary lighting needed for your venue and day!

  6. What is your photography shooting style for weddings?

Our style tends to be more candid and photo journalistic wedding photography or wedding photojournalism. It takes the documentary approach of photojournalism and applies it to wedding photography. Add in our amazing eye for lighting, meticulous composition, and the patience necessary to catch a meaningful moment, and the result is the beautiful and intimate wedding photography found on this website. Our goal is to capture the real emotional moments of the day, yours, your family’s, and your friends. We want to capture all the moments, the details, the families and the two of you and preserve them for a lifetime.

  7. Why should we hire you for our wedding?

Simply put, our photographers and videographers are perfectionists and are the best at what they do! We are always striving towards providing superior quality in our work.  This environment of creative competition is one of our greatest assets in ensuring that the absolute best is always aimed for in everything that we do, and we are always striving to improve our skills and our work after each and every wedding day. Another quality of our team is that we believe in engaging our clients in the creative process. Creativity and imagination are the fuel to our company’s fire, and it goes without saying that bringing couples into the fold of our artistic endeavors will always produce unforgettable memories that last throughout the couples’ lives together. We have extensive experience with a multitude of couples from many diverse backgrounds, and in the spirit of Toronto’s multiculturalism, we are more than ready to accommodate to the cultures, styles and tastes of our clients.

  8. Will you travel for my wedding or Do you do destination weddings?

Absolutely! We have done weddings all over Ontario, Canada, USA, and the Caribbean. We are happy to go wherever your weddings is happening. Depending on the location a travel fee may apply. We also try to discount destination weddings to offset the travel costs for you.

  9. How much of your business is weddings?

Toronto Wedding Photography & Video is our only business and has been since we started. We strongly believe that if you want to be the best you need to specialize in one area and do it very well.

  10. How early should we book with you for our wedding?

I recommend booking your wedding date as soon as you decide that we are the right wedding photographer for you. Booking early has the benefit of providing you with the ease of mind of having secured your photographer, which means that you’ll have one less thing to worry about. Some of our couples book up to 1-2 years in advance and we have turned away many couples due to not being available if they wait to long and the date is booked.
